Looks like a false alarm. After I'd translated the report it appears we asked his club permission to talk and were refused.

Malinwa is again in a good fourth place. Het Laatste Nieuws reports that Championship club Barnsley is charmed by the coach. Barnsley is penultimate in the English second division and was looking for a new coach after the resignation of Markus Schopp. It therefore knocked on KV Mechelen for Vrancken, but KVM immediately closed the door. No negotiations were therefore started. It is also questionable whether Barnsley was able and willing to pay the surrender clause in Vrancken's contract. The English club is now looking at other options. Barnsley is also owned by Pacific Media Group, the same company that is the majority shareholder in KV Oostende.
Good we were refused Manager of a club 8th in the Belgium 1st div. Sounds like he should be seaker for Slitherin
It still doesn't take two weeks to identify and to get knocked back by said coach/club tho dose it... Is there one or two others that fell through to be revealed I wonder.
If the report is true it sounds like, us "can we talk to your coach" them "no" us "fair enough". Not much of a story really.
