Can anyone remember when we played Gothenburg in a friendly years ago.
I think Gothenburgs league season was over but they were still in Europe and played us as a warm up game.I don't know about a warm up because it was a freezing cold night.
We drew 2-2 and I'm sure Phil Gridlet scored.

I remember it, the East Stand was under construction and I watched it from the Ponty End. Remember David Currie playing as well

I remember it well Bill, I think it was the first time my knackers turned blue.

Legendary Swedish goalie Thomas Ravelli was in goal for IFK and kept having banter with the home fans.

It was a warm up game for IFK before they faced AC Milan in the European Cup.... I can see the similarities

If I recall, wasn’t Jonny Ekstrom in their line up? Remember it being 2-2 and Gridelet being reincarnated before vanishing again, but that’s about it.

I remember they had quite a few dudes with blonde hair but that's it apart from Ravelli

Yes we're fine we had to quarantine until Wednesday. We got a call from Track and Trace to tell us we were free to go out again so I took it literally and went out for a few pints.I see your uncle Jim quite often in town centre he says you keep dragging him to away games. He doesn't need any dragging does he I know he likes his away days.

He doesn't take much persuasion especially if I'm paying for the fish n chips wherever we stop off.

Even my father's dusting off the mothballs to come to Peterborough away, he best not forget his wallet
