    I'm happy with the appointment because he isn't an after thought he's the guy the board have wanted since 2019. They were after him before Struber so must think he can keep us up.

    I'll give him a chance because it's looking like we're down anyway and there isn't any point doing otherwise.

    I did and was sad when he failed because he kept us up with sumat to spare in 2000/1 season with a few decent wins. His signings in pre season before 2001/2 raised eyebrows though.

    I'd still rather be in the Championship though, and we should really be looking to cement our place here , especially given Derbys point deductions.

    This guy is 36 and has never kicked a ball professionally. I know people will point out that the same was true of Jose Mourinho and Andre Villas-boas, but as far as risks go, this is massive.

    He's nothing to lose but if we go down its on his head aswell as schopps. Just like the previous relegations of hecky/morais and flicker and Wilson. He has more time than morais and Wilson had to keep us up...

    Past being a risk for me because the squad isn't good enough. It was held together by Mowatt and Val. Sollbauer and Chaplin just being around helped too because they were and are characters.

    I want us to stay up but the new guy will need time. It has to be a project.

    Val worked wonders and mowatt was class but there were other lads playing out of their skin too. Styles, Woodrow, Brittain have all been well under par this time out. To say the players aren't good enough is a tad harsh. It's the way they are motivated and the way they apply themselves.
