one slight conundrum I don’t get there, if Yorkshire were so racist why did the make him captain?
Again in loads of situations they have been but still

The YCCC racism hotline is actually an email address. It's scope is extremely narrow, just folk who've been racially abused or discriminated against can make contact. No mention of witnesses. It also states claims must be about the club, that means associated teams, groups and societies are outside the scope for gathering information. There are so many societies and clubs who have major YCCC links where officials have attended.

My experiences are very much about class-based issues in the Yorkshire age group system and specifically public v state school. Do you reckon that's in scope? - To my mind actually the class and race issues overlap to some degree and there is no doubt in my mind that a greater proportion of the discriminated against minority groups go to state schools.

Cricket have a big problem. More players from many different counties will have stories to tell. Being nicknamed Bomber is clearly racist. Now those mentioned by Ed Balls who were around at the time such as Nasser Hussain and Alistair Cook will be asked if they remember it.

I think Rafiq said that things were pretty good with Gillespie as coach, and Lees captain. But then descended again when Gale took over.

The SNP MP asked a question about the yesterday and Azeem wasn't able to really answer. But like you my experiences are very similar. If it wasn't the lads of colour getting abused, it was the lads from poor and working class backgrounds. Lads with all the gear and no idea getting preferential treatment cos Daddy donated or had certain connections.
I agree it should be in scope in this investigation and a national one. Most of the imported Brits we see wearing the 3 lions all came through private education.

This lad played second team cricket, so doubt Nasser and Cook would have seen much. Between England duties and county 1st team action they won't have got a minutes piece.
It seems this lad got abused away from the bright lights. His story will be repeated many times I'm sure of it in the next few months.

Cricket and Rugby Union are extremely elitist and collegiate and it runs through the whole country.

My wife had an interview at the RFU a few months back... to say it was an eye opener was an understatement,

Look at what happened to Lees after Dizzy left. Lees was a great talent coming through. It got that bad for him he ended up playing in our local league to find form and enjoyment again.

There's certain rugby clubs which are still private school only. However it is changing but not fast enough. The RFU are a disgrace really, same as ECB. That's why when I watch international rugby I go to Scotland. Its cheaper to watch at Murrayfield, better class of fans and environment to spend the day and weekend.

Gale's been protected for years, he's the main cancer in the club. He helped create an atmosphere which supported bullying under the guise of being 100% true Yorkshire and committed. Basically crap coaching by intimidation. Remember he's got form, he wasn't anywhere near qualified enough for the top job. Losing Dizzy cost us massively, but can you imagine working for Graves and his cronies?

I can't say I know a great deal about their internal structures directly at the RFU.

One of the first questions she was asked at her interview was who she knew already at the RFU. Then who her dad supported! It was a very short interview, and it was a very senior interview panel.

He's stood up to be counted by admitting it quickly and saying sorry.

So censure him, whatever. It's irrelevant. I've stated more than a few times on here I'd like to see a full independent report that allows all things to be brought into the open. If this is what does come out so what? Does it mean he wasn't racially abused? Does it mean YCCC didn't try to cover it up? Unless someone proves he was lying about the racism claims then YCCC remain firmly in the dock.
