I passed a house the other day all decorated up for Christmas and instantly became a judgemental comudegon and thought "What a set of w@nk£rs". My judgement is of course utterly irrelevant - but I can't abide Christmas decorations before December.
A couple of weeks at least yet. I'll be getting a farm tree in about 3 weeks. Everything comes down on Twelfth Night. I do think 'Christmas' is getting earlier and earlier. My theory is that working-class communities are getting more and more screwed by the Tories so that the only solace they feel they have is to put Xmas decs up to cheer themselves up. Blame the Tories.
Sure, go for it. It's a drab miserable time of year and any brightening of our world is a good thing. Just don't hate them by Boxing Day and then go postal on your street.
Too early for me but they aren't hurting anyone so if it brings a bit of colour and brightness in this depressing world why not.
I've asked her. She's not too keen and I'm a big kid . George is old enough to know what's happening too which makes it all the more special.
I know at least 3 people who can’t wait to get their Xmas decorations up and have them up already and call me miserable because ours don’t go up until a couple of weeks before Christmas. At least mine stay up throughout the whole festive period and don’t come down until after New Years Day. They’re taking theirs down on Boxing Day because Xmas is over, and they call me miserable.
