On what do you base your thought that this has the potential to be our worst loss in living memory ? We are struggling that is fact but actually how many times have been hammered this season ? In my living memory we have had some right trouncings , a lot of these were when were in the premier league & we have had one or two since then but although we all know that Fulham will be a tough gig there is no way that getting a humiliating thrashing ,which is what you are suggesting has entered my head , I am interested to know why you think this could potentially happen .
The fact that they are pushing hard for promotion, Mitrovic is scoring for fun and we look absolutely awful. Whether they do arsehole us is yet to be seen, but the facts on paper point towards a complete drubbing.
I’m fully expecting Mitrovic to handsomely add to his goal tally for the season. Anything other than a reight drubbing & I’ll be amazed, given the way the seasons gone so far. Their defence & keeper might as well take the afternoon off cos we’ll not trouble em.
I was down in London to take my lad to twickenham to see England the other week. We had the good fortune of missing the Hull game because of it… At Kings Cross waiting to board the train back, the train back from Peterborough full of Fulham fans came in. They are clearly absolutely devastated at the goings on at Brentford. Every song they sang involved them. The most common one - which appeared to be the flavour of the month amongst the majority of the fulham ‘men’ who seemed to want to make noise near the transport police, was ‘fulham boys, we’re on a bender, Thomas Frank is a sex offender’. For the majority of them it was very clearly an inaccurate song, in that they were mostly clearly not old enough to drink or at least plainly sober - so not at all on a ‘bender’. As for their assertions on Thomas Frank, no idea… They might well witness as one sided a game at the cottage on Saturday as I did at Twickenham that day against Tonga.
Thats your opinion & you could well be right but the biggest drubbing in living memory ? we have not been drubbed as such all season, we have been well beaten , no arguments there but a drubbing suggests an avalanche of goals against us & I see no evidence of this happening so far this season & nothing to suggest it will happen tomorrow ( I hope )
It's got all the makings of a shock one nil win for us.... Lol, watch me hide behind the fridge come 4.45 termorrer
We've played against some teams that couldn't finish their dinners though, and Brad Collins has been in superb form. In half of them - against teams much worse than Fulham - it's felt like we've just sat back and let them try out move after move against us. If Collins has an off day and Fulham don't then it could end up looking like the Man City friendly. Hopefully the fact that the the squad will be wanting to impress the new boss will give them a boost.
If it was the other way around many on here would be saying, we’re great at kick-starting other teams’ season. or we’re good at ending the oppositions bad run of form. I would not be surprised at any outcome tomorrow. I have a good feeling we won’t get hammered though
And get ready for the teams like Barnsley comments. Gut feeling last grasp 1 nil win Barnsley after being under the kosh all match. One of those games where Fulham throw the lot at us numerous corners, shots on goal, balls coming off the posts and cross bars. But they get nothing for their efforts.
IT was only when it was posted on here that I realised how bad the Leeds Manchester link was. Frequent enough, but two an hour at 53 minutes. It's just too long for such a distance.
