Looking at the highlights(which only gives a limited view granted) we looked as weak as water and painfully slow on pace at the back and that includes Helik....... Anyway Monday starts as new phase and hopefully an upturn in results. Asbaghi and the new coach will start the process and a new Barnsley side will emerge and bring an upturn in fortunes. At least our new coach has had a view if what has been going wrong and have the foresight to make the changes needed to get the most out of the players which is needed to get us out of the situation we are in.

I don’t envy him one bit. Just where do you start? Whole team is a shambles.

He’s going to have to give them the “season started today” speech and hope to God they listen.

It's correct though, our season does start on Monday, because we haven't had one so far.

However, if Poya looks at our games on video and concludes that we're playing 3-4-3 on Wednesday night, then there's no hope

Depends how we play within that 3-4-3. My worry is every report on Poya says that he wants to dominate possession. We need to go direct rather than try and play through midfield because we’re simply not strong enough in the middle, no matter what formation we play.

Poya wanting to dominate possession is just deluded la la land stuff - to be successful at this you need players who are comfortable on the ball and fit enough to make space for each other so you can pass it around the opposition with ease - imo we haven't got the players to do this - if this is plan A I think we are down

Wouldn't hurt to work on our passing either though.

Back to basics, defence, start with being solid and keeping clean sheets..

we need to be In touch with the teams above us at the end of the year and do some good business in the January window. Morris and Dike made a huge difference to the 2nd half of last season. Poya needs the support of our owners.
