Doing this a day earlier than usual as I'm back to work tomorrow. After a good result at Fulham (most were predicting between a 4 and 10 goal defeat) we welcome inconsistent Swansea City to Oakwell. A side we certainly owe one after the end of last season. Swansea have won 2 games away from home this season, at Coventry and Bristol City. They've won 1 drawn 2 and lost 4 of their last 7 away games, being beaten quite convincingly in 3 of those 4 defeats. They have however won 4 of their last 7 league games overall, 2 of which against sides in and around the relegation zone. Over 90 minutes, we haven't beaten Swansea home or away since November 1983, a run spanning 18 games at various locations, losing 10 of those. Swansea are a bit of a bogey side of ours, but they're certainly not the side we faced in the play-offs anymore. Then again, neither are we. I'm hoping for a change in formation and hopefully a couple of changes in personnel. I think a draw would be a step in the right direction, but I'm not going to break the habit of a life time and predict anything other than a reds win. 2-1 with Morris and Iseka on the scoresheet.
Given the state of the players' fitness, and the midfield options that we have, any win would be a shock.
A fairly easy Swansea 2-0 win.. Then get twatted at Peterboro satdi to end the shortest honeymoon period ever..
Reds to win 3-2 in an action-packed thriller that will keep us on the edge of our seats and singing Poya's praises all the way home. Not even the non-existent bridge will dampen our spirits.
