Absolutely disgusting comments from a manager. In fact a manager saying that publicly about an employee would see said manager sacked in most businesses.

“Luke Thomas will not get a better opportunity to score a goal in professional football. He doesn’t even hit the target, which kind of sums up where he is at for me.

“He is not wired in, he’s never quite right, thinks the world owes him a favour.

“Unfortunately if he doesn’t get his finger out then this opportunity at Rovers is going to pass him by. He came in with a big fanfare but constantly when trusted and given opportunities he doesn’t maximise it.

“He probably thinks the world owes him something and is above the level. If you are not sharp, not wired in, and not fully fit then no matter what level of football you play then you will not be successful.”

Bring him back, get him out of there and let the new coach take a look.

No one should have to play under a toxic sh it like Barton.

Sickening to read that. Especially the 'not wired in' comment. And twice he says it. Unbelievable. Maybe he thinks in his twisted mind he's toning it down after the 'holocaust' comment.

Joey got paid well as a footballer, that got him access to good lawyers. For the crimes he's committed he'd he'd been doing a good amount of porridge.
So I certainly wouldn't be taking lip or lectures from that scum bag. A scum bag who only attacks folk when their backs are turned or by surprise. Chip of the old bloke just like his scum murdering brother.

I remain amazed that Barnsley would entrust one of our players, to the care of a man who still has active proceedings against him for alleged assault against a Barnsley employee.

Given the active proceedings, what were they thinking?

"We'll deal with the allegation I assaulted your wife, at a later date, but her sister is welcome to crash at mine any time."

Ex Barnsley employee... The legal case was between Stendel and Barton, not the club and Barton.

I'm more surprised we allowed someone who is struggling with mental health issues to go and work under one of the worst people in the history of the sport.

Get the lad back and at Barnsley. Let some decent people try and look after the lad. I was shocked we let Barton have the opportunity of a loan player. The blokes rotten.

Probably the worst gaffer you could have if you are in luke Thomas’ shoes
