I hope you're not breaking the terms of License No. 5, publishing that on here. You don't want the FA coming round and asking if you'd mind accepting a points deduction.
I love it when folk put stuff like this on. Old fixture lists, league tables, newspaper clippings, programmes. Some of it really takes me back. Good old days... even when it was rubbish!
printed in good old letterpress, from the days when if you was having a doo you had to visit the town printers to get some invites printed up, now you just put it on facebook
A lot of those “good old days” really were rubbish. Players of little or zero value, gates below 3,000 a regular feature and, of course, a very real threat of extinction in 1966. Saved by Geoff Buckle and Ernie Dennis. Todays troubles are NOTHING in comparison to then.
He's just a newcomer It was my sixth season and the misery/occasional joy was well ingrained in me by then.
It is, but back then it was proper, hardcore rubbish. Rubbish you could really sink your teeth into, locally produced rubbish that for all its faults held a certain charm and flavour. Now it's just a pale imitation. Mass-produced tasteless rubbish, of chinese origin.
Thanks for the responses all. My Nan (his Mum) recently passed away and he was looking through some old stuff and found it. I’ll ask him if there is any other stuff. When I next go up there, I’ll take some photos of the inside etc. Think he started taking me to Oakwell around the late 70’s. so it’s all his fault
