Who put so much effort in last season just pretty much down tools. There's no passion, no fight and no pride, they're going through the motions.
My 8 year old who plays for Holmfirth Town Juniors can do the basics better than some of our lot at present. It's truly awful and I salute all of those diehard fans who travelled to Peterborough today.
Have the crowds coming back really affected our players so much?
IMO some of them expected an easy ride after last season's exploits and now they're finding out that's not the case. You can excuse some lack of quality if the effort is there but it isn't! This side would struggle in L1.

I spoke to Bobby Hassell during last season and I asked him if the absence of supporters was helping our players and he replied with an emphatic yes, he said they were going out onto the pitch without fear of making mistakes, allowing them freedom to express themselves.
So the answer is simple, STAY AWAY!

Conway as a modern day Robin Hood? Cryne as Maid Marion. Lee as the Sheriff of Nottingham and that big fat bloke who I sometimes sit near as Friar Tuck.

Imagine you work for a small company in a very competitive industry. You have a small working group of colleagues, and a manager who pushes you hard but knows exactly what you're capable of and introduces a new way of working which revolutionises your results. You and your colleagues push as hard as you can and almost gain the biggest prize available to you that year in your industry, narrowly missing out.

After that your manager leaves as does his right hand man amongst your team. The suits hire a new manager to replace him - one without any of the dynamism of the previous bloke. He tells you you're going to go back to performing the way you did before the previous manager, which you know has no chance of getting you anywhere near that prize again.

Would you still give it 110% or would you toss it off a bit?

Add to that 'the suits publicly state that they want you to stop playing the way that was so successful so that they can instead make a bit of money by selling you as soon as possible'

Given the toxic attitudes of a lot of our fans to the players it’s unsurprising that they did better without us watching them.

You forgot the bit about their efforts to achieve the third best season in the club's history being publicly called a failure by the board and CEO because the board couldn't sell them like pieces of meat in the summer on the back of it.

People pay to watch the games . If its sub par , which it is majorly, people have a right to complain.it kite have cost someone over £150 to watch a team have 2 shots on target which is unacceptable.there is no fight in this team

So we should feel sorry for a group of players who are underperforming? There comes a point when it goes beyond the head coach and the players have to start taking responsibility.
There are also stories coming out that they aren't happy with the new head coach. Are they going to get us relegated so he's sacked? Sorry but some of these players need a big ******* dose of reality (that's not personal personal abuse) and if they don't like it then they can **** off in January.

Think they'd do even worse with only the opposition supporters there to point out their mistakes. They're professional footballers, they need to realise they play in front of a crowd and that's why they get paid so much and concentrate on their game!

Having no fans...may be a factor but no way is it the main reason.
What i see with my own eyes are:
    Unfit
    Unmotivated
    Unorganised (prior to new coach)
    Lacking in confidence.

Hopefully quite a few are moved on in January because it's the players not the fans who are to blame for the situation we find ourselves in. Too many are living off last season.

900 at Bournemouth 0 shots on goal
3k at Blackpool like watching paint dry
1200 at posh in travel chaos in a storm for that.

Give over. There's no hiding on the field we can see the effort and performance by some players is below par and people will pick up on it.

Again proving my point. When has shouting abuse at someone in any job ever made things better. It just makes things worse. The only reason Mads was able to develop last season was that the crowd who had been on his back when he first started and that had drained his confidence was gone.
