I was a bit concerned when I read this post. You rightly call out people and there racist behavior then you call out a guy who looks like "Frank Gallagher". I've known this bloke for quite a few years from watching BFC and his name is Dave. Now Dave has endured many people both from Barnsley and away fans calling him "Frank" and its caused him quite a lot of distress over the years. If Dave was involved in any racist behavior yesterday I'd be most surprised even shocked. All the time I've know him I've found him to be the most polite humble man whos gone through the recent traumas of losing both his parents, losing his job and almost losing his house. This as all had a massive effect on his mental health. The one constant with Dave is his love for BFC.He never misses a game home or away and I doubt he ever will, its in his blood like most Barnsley fans.If he is guilty of racism he deserves the same as all racists.I just hope he hasn't been called out for looking like Frank Gallagher because I can assure you all he's absolutely not like him.
He will have been on a train thats how he goes to all his games. All I'm saying that I would be shocked if he's guilty of racism but if he is he's no better than the other racists.
I don't think it would have been Dave. Just because the OP said he looked like Frank Gallagher doesn't mean it was Dave. Didn't OP said one had long black hair and the other was bald. The Dave I know isn't racist
I would echo these sentiments; I know him from away games and this sounds out if character as he usually very polite and considerate and has gone through a really tough time. I have no doubt he knows other fans and if they ha I would echo this, I know Dave from away matches and he is a passionate Reds fan but also polite and considerate so this sounds out of character. There were obviously racist Reds fans on the train which is disgusting but is it clear that this was Dave as to be tarred with the same brush is very harsh?
Is it fair to judge people on their looks? People can’t change how they look. Good looking people aren’t necessarily nice people either.
Sadly this sort of thing is not confined to a few morons from Barnsley, it's nationwide and we saw a step-change in such behavior in June 2016.
