Hes played every minute of every game. And players have been criticised for it and rightly so, bit if woodrow does he's a scapegoat. We even had a thread about Cole who was the best of the 3 forwards again todag

Ah the rest of the teams fault he had chances Wednesday and at Fulham. All abit half hearted from him for me he's not alone but poor from captain.

Yet that thread soon resumed the Woodrow bashing.

I’d say Morris looked our biggest threat today. Cole’s first touch was very hit and miss.

That could be the answer to play him in midfield.

I still cannot understand how people are still willing to spring to Woodrow's defence and attempt to excuse his contribution by intimating he was good once and/or he will come good again OR everyone else is crap as well. Woodrow is playing poorly at the moment and he has for a long time. Even in a play off team last year he scored few goals from open play. It is not Woodrow bashing to say he should be dropped. It would be a sensible move and would shake things up up front. He is not playing well and SHOULD be dropped. Might even be good for him.

I think he's brilliant. He's been our best and most (apart from Mowatt) consistent player for the past 4 years.

But I'd drop him. Take him out of the firing line because him playing 90 every game is no good for anyone at the minute. Confidence shot. Fans getting on his back. Poor performances.

Hopefully he has a little rest then comes back firing soon because we need him.

Probably both. Nobody will get near his total goals for us and at the minute, we don’t create much. Or even anything really.

Also, his replacement isn’t likely going to be someone who can come in and hit the ground running.

I thought he did better today than he has otherwise done recently.

The goals have dried up now though, I never used to question his effort but that seems lacking these days.

He can't dine out on his previous accomplishments forever. He used to be our best forward, he isn't at the moment.

Well, Cauley certainly hits the ground a lot when he's running. ;)

Totally agree that we haven't created much over the last couple of months yet Woodrow is the only ever present.
Cole, Iseka and Vic have all managed to get on the end of something during this spell and they still play second fiddle to someone that clearly isn't firing.

Debatable pinnock was our most consistent under stendel and Collins this season. Agree with the rest though

Yet he’s had more shots than the vast majority of players in the league. So he’s either missing chances or making bad decisions.

I hope Woodrow leaves just for the sake of his own career. I wouldnt wish Barnsley fc on any one at the moment.

More idiotic scapegoating. Can’t wait for the replacement that regularly gets into double figures in the championship

He's still our most natural finisher for me and I do believe that in the right team he's a reliable championship forward. But even the best players need respite from playing occasionally. The reason he stays on is surely a lack of alternative options, the captaincy element probably plays a part. He looks shot of confidence to me.

Coles legs are the human equivalent of pinball bumpers.
