If the club were bothered about "experience" we wouldn't have appointed poya as head coach with some many championship experienced head coaches available.

I’d still have Ronnie Glavin over what we’ve got now tbh, at his age he’s probably a bit past his best by now but still…

Of course many of the arguments in this thread were applied against us re signing Adam Hammill - in fact I was one of those who said it was a bad idea. Just a thought...

Not sure what your point is , but we were discussing Jacob Butterfield who had played for us , got injured , moved on & ended up in Australia , not sure what your reference is to Vaz Te unless you are suggesting re signing him again, because that is what we are discussing about Jacob .

Butterfield was one of our mysteries at Luton. he nearly always played very well and yet hardly every got picked, none of us understood it really and then we let him go. Strange one

Training with the u23s apparently, to get his fitness up for when he gets a new club.

Would be a no brainer to offer him a short term contract. Won’t cost much (he’s currently on £0), and might be helpful for the young midfielders at the club

    Our U23?
If so best of both worlds then will be able to see first hand if he will add to the team before signing him.

Yep. Unless reports from Devaney aren't particularly positive about him or his fitness levels, I can't see why we wouldn't

It's a PR stunt by the club if he signs. I even reckon when we re-signed Hammill in 2015 that was too and everything snowballed from there. If he signs it proves that the Head Coach isn't picking the team.

That seems an odd take. The head coach picks the team, but the club picks the players to bring in that they can pick from. With differing levels of input from the head coach. The club picked Vita and the head coaches didn’t for example.

Good to get a perspective that's more recent than 10 years old.

If that's the case, he could very well be worth a short term deal.

Butterfield and Colace int middle of park, is Brucie still knocking around club wi disco and Hassell lets get daft and give em all a game it would be far more entertaining than that tripe we got served up against Swansea.
