    Ipswich tricky plus Chaplin to come back and torment us.
    Barrow should be a win for us but you never know.

    I think Barrow beat us once in the 1960s,could be wrong, usually am. Anyway, it's nice to play a team in a lower division, almost the romance of the cup.

    We beat em 3-0 int cup late sixties.

    Lost 3-2 at home 68/69 int league.

    That 3-2 home defeat was on opening day after going the whole of the previous season unbeaten at home, on the way to promotion from the Fourth Division. I was there and it was a big let down on a hot August afternoon.

    Not then though. We had a great home campaign the year before (17-6-0) so we all thought “it’s only Barrow”, but how wrong we were. They were a pretty decent side then and deserved their win.

    RE teacher was a Barrow fan. Absolute hot head with steam coming out of his ears most days. My abiding memory, he once launched a chair across the room towards a pupil in a fit of rage. Nothing was done lol

    Barra away was my first away game in late 60's, we won 1-0, first time I saw Eddie Loyden play, was so exited, next time I went there we drew 1-1...happy days, wish it was away at Barra...Holker St not really changed since the 60's.....

    Bit earlier for me, started going to away games a lot maybe 2000/01 until '05. First season me and two mates really committed we were dreadful away from home, to the point where a 0-0 at Norwich felt like gaining promotion. (Obviously Norwich were bang average at the time).
