Just seen a filmed interview on Facebook with the manager, post game. I have never heard a coach summarise a game like that before, either in denial or trying to manage the damage with a load of stats. If he is talking to the players in the same way, no wonder they don't perform. Football is a simple game, I can't tell if he's a genius or in the wrong job.
The owners strategy is to find head coaches based around stats, so is it any wonder this guy likes to churn out shiiiite about stats etc. He was never the man for the job, but every Barnsley fan knew this, just not the owners, but they don’t care.
As I said on another thread - his last job at Gothenburg he drew 9 of his last 12 games in charge, he lost the other 3.
2 home games in a row without a corner and playing down how important shots on target are after the Huddersfield game. He's got a lot of winning over to do.
Just a yes man people talk about experience on the field the owners love a young novice who has no championship experience at managing.
From the bbc report “Them getting the free-kick and using that in a good way was a massive blow for us.” If he thinks that winning goal was anything other than a catastrophically bad goal to concede then there really is no hope.
