On Christmas Eve, I'm setting off on my own to walk up onto the moors, to a place called Outer Edge, where I'm going to spend the night in a tent. I'll be taking a stove, a bottle of mulled wine and a nice steak. The next morning my Christmas breakfast will be a mug of tea and a bacon sandwich, before walking back down to Langsett for a lift home. Quick shower, then off to the Curry Mahal for a BNM Christmas Dinner. Anyone else doing 'owt daft for Christmas?
Breakfast Christmas morning is a slice of pork pie from a large Rob Royd farm shop pie, always have it chilled with red sauce.
That’s a very good point. Don’t want anyone slipping you a vegan substitute, god forbid.. By the way, 2022 is the setting for the sci fi film Soylent Green. Is that what you’re on about..?
I'll post some if I've got a signal and it's not foggy. Can't promise a pup, but might spot a white mountain hare. Or a sheep.
It's something I've always wanted to do, camp out wild on Christmas Eve. I'm only going to do it once!
Where is Outer Edge? Presumably near Langsett, but I've not heard of it. I'm reasonably familiar with the area if you want to give description and I promise I'll make no effort to join you on Christmas Eve.
