The claps were only to counteract the boos. He gave his all in a reds shirt so as far as I'm concerned he didn't deserve booing. Plus we didn't get chance to say goodbye last season.
I think this post fairly represents how the desperation to be in favour of the current administration at all costs is getting a bit weird.
So did rest of team but they did come and clap the fans. Schopp get regular slated for doing what Cole and Odour. Both of them don't give a damn about the fans. Hope we get shut of them both in January
I think we'll need them both in this style of play. I can see why Cole was an Ismael signing. He's got an engine. As has Oduor.
I don't think you should be using words like that to describe Benson. "W@nk" is ok, but "player" is going over the top.
I take it you are on the wind up , by far the best midfielder on display tonight & a player we have sadly missed big time this season
Honestly, no. I thought he was one of the worst players on the pitch. One good ball in from a freekick then nothing. Like I said in my OP, I can't comment on his other games as I haven't watched WBA play, so all I can judge is what I saw tonight, which really didn't make me wish he was still playing in red. Opinions though, people are free to disagree
I don't think we've had a more ineffective central midfield unit since Gardner and Williams mate. I thought they were crap but Gomes and Benson don't work at all. Even Lumsdon and Jones had their moments of high tempo blood and gusto. I think Benson is killing Gomes watching last few games where they've played together. Gomes is defensive but can maraud forward like Kante. However, when Benson plays scratching his knob for 95 mins. Gomes daren't commit.
I had high hopes when I saw Benson's new haircut. At last, I thought, we're going to see some proper hardman stuff in midfield. Vinnie Jones on steroids, kind of thing. Sadly, not to be... Maybe he needs some tattoos?
Backpass Benson free kick straight at the keeper tipped over for our first Oakwell corner in over three and a half hours.
