    Could be the key, Herbie Kane must be full of confidence & recalling would give a boost to the squad.
    And dare I say it, I would recall the young lad at Forest Green, can’t be any worse than Vic & Frieser. Plus he would be a starter next season in League 1 if/when we go down.

    Hopefully we can ship out the likes of Frieser & Vic, and I would send Vita back to Germany. Hopefully get a couple of reinforcements. We need to try something & at the same time prepare for life in League 1 next season.

    Kane on current form is streets ahead of Benson and Palmer. It’s crackers if we can’t (or don’t) recall him. We invested over a £1m on him and Oxford are the only ones getting any benefit.
    Agree on Aitchison too. Might offer something a bit different.

    We need a spark or something different in team especially midfield or a winger. Could be the best ever transfer window in January !!!

    Are we able to recall him? If we are it should be an absolute no brainer. I’d rather have him in the squad as an option, than somewhere else.

    Definitely recall Kane from Oxford. What were we doing loaning him out in any case? Just what we need now - a controlling, holding midfielder, who can pick a pass and construct an attack from a deep position. Good at set pieces also. Get him back. I think Aitchison could do with more time at FGR to be honest. Still a work in progress, even at that level. Miller back as a super-sub to come on when we need goal??? We could do a lot worse, but his goals have dried up a bit recently. I would expect that we will be selling in January players who will be out of contract in the summer, which, I think, would inlcude Frieser and Woodrow, so we will need to strengthen in both key positions occupied by Kane and Miller. If we could bring in a couple more as well, that might be the best we could muster.

    I seem to remember having Barnes and Drinkwater on season loans but they got recalled in January after starring for us

    I believe there has to be a clause in the loan. To be able to recall a player.

    I understand that it is possible in some cases, depending on the loan deal.

    I just read about Chelsea recalling Gallagher from Crystal Place, but they can't, as he has featured in 50% of their games.

    Would make a decent xmas present if we can bring him back. Given how Mowatt came back from Oxford all guns blazing.

    I'd go s step further and make him sign a new contract so we don't get dry loved like we did with Mowatt.
