Souza. One of the worst centre halves in my lifetime. Nowhere near as good as Helik or Anderson. Colace no better. So would not improve. Bobby was above average. As was Kozluk. Jacob and Andy Gray possibly. All imho of course.
I think our defence is an improving work in progress, so this would be harsh on one of them, but Peter Ramage. At the time, we weren’t scoring and conceding bucket loads so Ramage came at the same time as we re-signed Hammill which solved both problems. But as Hammill had flare and creativity and was an adopted ‘one of our own’, I don’t think Ramage got the praise he deserved for solving our problems at the opposite end of the pitch.
Tom bradshaw has scored more championship goals this season than any of our players and he has only played 12 games.
Busy doing what though? That was always the issue with him. The best we could ever hope for is that he ran into one of the opposition players without a foul being called.
