Alan Nixon reporting it..... https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport...ws/transfer-news-live-rangers-celtic-25736572 He's had a really poor season so they must be after him based on what he did last season.
He's an idiot if he goes because he won't get first team football and will be farmed out to a lower league team.
Loads. Their team is full of players signed from levels lower than a 2020/21 Championship Playoffs team. He’d do great there and a brilliant next move - we need him until Summer though
Bank balance will see a massive improvement though. Let’s be honest it’s a poor division so I think he would thrive if given the chance in a team that’s one of the top 2 in a terrible league competition wise.
Deserves a move. Brilliant last year. Young lad played out of position and excelled. Not on top form this season ( as all the team are) but if true that would be a cracking move. Chance of winning trophies and in front of 50k fans every other week. Dream come true tackle is that.
They've been struggling to get an energetic left back/wing back since Tierney left. Often have Juranovic playing there who is a right back. Styles would fit the high energy style that Postecoglou has implemented. Good move for Styles and Celtic, bad move for us.
Assuming it's true, he'd be crazy not to. More money The chance to play for - historically - one of the biggest clubs in the UK The potential to play in front of 50K+ every other week The potential to play in Europe Live in Glasgow Seriously, it's a free hit for him and would be a good potential stepping stone to something bigger. As you say, worse case scenario is he would be loaned back to the Championship. Postecoglou is building a great attacking side at Celtic and this would be a great chance for any young Championship player. From our point of view it's not great as Celtic are tighter than us when it comes to transfer fees so I can't see them wanting to shell out anything more than £2/3 Million on him.
What great news , we have only a handful of players who are championship quality , Styles & Woodrow leaving the building will leave us with two less .
Does this mean a revival of those Styles is worth £10 million, posts from last season, hope not. He's an ok player did ok last season, been poor this season, time for him to move on and discover a position that suits him. We aren't the club for him,our system doesn't suit his skillset and doubtful it ever would at the moment.
Even in current form he’d get in their team I reckon. The SPL isn’t a particularly high standard at all. If he goes there he’ll play, and also likely attract interest from one of the international teams he can represent, I think he has both Ukrainian and Polish grandparents. He’ll do well there I think, if it’s true. No brainer. Big club and European football, 50k fans, bigger salary, playing worse teams than he does most weeks here when in the league and possibly an international call up.
I know a lot of talent goes to Celtic but they don't get in the first team. Happy to hold my hands up if I'm wrong but I can't see it.
He will play in the middle if used with callum mcgregor. Liam Shaw who they signed from Wednesday looks like he won't get a shout. Turnbul bench warmer. They need someone who can play cdm same as what scott brown offered but am not sure he could fill the roll
If Celtic have a midfielder that they could loan to us till the end of the season that can add a bit of experience and physicality to that position, as part of the deal then I’d take even less than 3m
