Nine players in self isolation until at least Boxing Day.... https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/spo...ews/stoke-city-vaccinated-players-efl-6371849 Today all the EFL clubs have a meeting about covid. I suspect Stoke will try and get our game called off, but hopefully they won't be allowed. I don't see how it would be fair for us to risk a fixture pile up through no fault of our own.
As per the EFL guidelines that came out the other day, if they've got 14 players (including 1 goalkeeper) the game goes ahead. The number of players out has no bearing
They should be making a decision quickly. At least if it gets called off now, they can spend more time preparing for the Blackburn game.
The EFL and Premier League will need to make a decision quickly on this. They did in 2020 before the government and they'll no doubt do it again before them.
Not crowing, just pointing out that football was more aware of the coming pandemic than the government were. Unbelievable really, but it's just another fact evidencing poor governance. The list just keeps getting longer.
So it will cost us money as refunds will be popular.... https://www.stokecityfc.com/news/2021/december/20/barnsley-ticket-update/ You can bet some of their five long term injuries will be back.... https://www.stokecityfc.com/news/2021/december/20/barnsley-game-postponed/ It takes the piss a club gets penalised in so many ways because of their opposition.
