lets wait until someone reputable posts it before we get too carried away.

Just seems like an obvious one for reporters to publish given the fact we are bad at the moment and Val is now there. Not saying he won't go but I am not going to get worried until it comes from a more reliable source.

Ruses usually are. They have to be to earn the accolade of 'ruse'. There's a fine line between a load of old nonsense and a ruse.

Well the BBS soothsayers might get their dream team of a big Vic and Oduor up front. I for one can’t wait.

Maybe. But I would be very surprised if him going off at Preston was part of a plan to have him miss the West Brom game.

Wouldn’t be surprised either way if he left or stayed to be honest.

Is it advanced talks or a done deal then?

He’s already left for Cardiff a number of times hasn’t he? And Reading one transfer window wasn’t it?

So West Brom need a 20 goal a season striker to get them into the Premier League and stay there, and they sign Cauley? I like him and rate him but I can’t see Ismael or their fans thinking he’s the answer surely? If you were Ismael is he who you would sign? When your job depends on winning promotion? Not Dike on loan or Moore or someone else?

Don't think anyone outside of the prem will get Dike now cos they want too much money. Not unless they opt to loan him out again but I am not sure they would want to do that in case he got injured or had a poor run and his stock then drops.

Woodrow won’t be for the prem he’s there to hopefully help get them up .
He’ll get a chance maybe in prem but they’ll sign someone with a bigger name and sell Cauley on if he doesn’t then make the grade . its win win for West Brom they’ll get the money they spent on him back or near abouts and Cauley gets his big pay day .

I wouldn't blame Cauley for going in the slightest with the dogs abuse he gets. From two weeks Woodrow to firing us to League 1 promotion, to being integral in the play-off push last season, he has been a loyal servant to the club. Some will question his workrate this season, but I believe his body language shows he is increasingly low on confidence, and carries the weight of captaincy on his shoulders, an added pressure which he has embraced but has arguably hindered him. While many will recognise his obvious talent and commitment to our cause, others scream at him from the stands, often to an alarming degree. They pay their money and have the right to their discontent this season, but to single out the same player repeatedly and put most of the blame on his shoulders - which some people do - is neither helpful nor the right thing to do.

If he goes I wish him the best of luck and thank him for his relentless effort in a reds shirt. He goes with his head held high in my view, and we would undoubtedly miss him.

Should he go, it will be interesting to see how he fairs at WBA. If he hits the ground running, then it's fair to say his critics here were right; just couldn't really be arsed for us. Should he struggle to make an impression, the his critics here were also right; good laiker, lost it.
