Most people have been saying he isn’t good enough all season, so I wouldn’t expect to hear too many complaints if he leaves.

Is there a possible outcome for you, I mean his critics, to be wrong? Or are you, I mean his critics, right whatever happens?

That's a riddle, wrapped inside an enigma, tied up with a conundrum, or summat.

I am a critic, Jay - never disguised that. Have always said he's a very good player, but through the tail end of last season and all of this, he's been poor. Confidence gone, body language terrible, never captaincy material. The first set of shoulders to drop when we concede. I pray, week after week, that he proves me completely wrong and gets back to his best, but yet to have those prayers answered. All opinions, obvs.

If he does ....i wish him all the best. I think he will be better with better players around him. His form has suffered this season as most of tyhe players.
Im sure our trusted owners will bring in a replacement of some description!!

If he hits the ground running then it will be a sign that he has joined a side who are flying high in the table, high on confidence, with players who know exactly what their job is because Val is at the helm. Val, the guy who some believe got the most (and more) out of the players at his disposal, and the guy who others say ruined players' careers because they had such a successful season. Or something. If Cauley hits the ground running, then his critics here are undoubtedly wrong. We should remember the good times and not just look at this shambles of a season - a mere 5 months of football - and say it's mostly Cauley's fault, he's given up, or he can't be arsed any more. To suggest the latter is a complete insult to the guy, a player that I believe is a model professional, and clearly a good man trying his best for the club.

I'm not going to argue he's been playing well, but I believe the system in which he is being asked to play and the dearth of chances created are huge contributing factors. If he moves elsewhere and begins scoring I don't think that's necessarily an indication he wasn't trying here, more over that his new team are creating chances for him where as I struggle to remember when we last created anything for anyone.

Same guy who everyone was expecting to go and signed a new contract out the blue.
I agree if he goes we should look at his overall record for us and judge him on that overall.

As for if he hits the ground running, perhaps just perhaps it’s not that he wasn’t trying for us but the side is set up to get the best out of him something since promoted we have rarely done.

Precisely that. And the contract signing is a good point too. It did come out the blue, and it showed his commitment to the club at a time when we'd only just managed to stay in the league.

The only thing we've created lately is a little story around the West Stand. It's worthy of a Bobby Dylan ditty: The Ballad of Paul Conway (or The West Stand Blues).

Could be a huge blessing in disguise. He’s been largely poor this season, & seems immune from dropping, unless injured. Plus we have someone who can step into his shoes straight away once he returns from injury…..again

Maybe we can look at other players now?Wish him all the best but he's gone totally Tom Bradshaw in front of goal. Glad he's going.

You’re taking this random rumour as gospel. Maybe take a step back.

It’s about a year since they said Mowatt was signing for Millwall.

I think he needs to leave - both for his own career, and for the good of the club.

It ain't working for the lad. I don't believe he isn't trying, and I think he gets frustrated with being asked to do stuff he can't do.

Fresh start for him, some cash for us to cushion the blow of relegation. Win-win. If it's true, good luck to him.

you think he gets dogs abuse here? If he goes wait till he gets to WBA and see what happens if he doesn’t score regularly!

As I see it West Brom create chances and play at the reight end of the pitch, whereas we create next to nowt and spend little time at the reight end of the pitch. Not a hard decision to make if it`s true.

I think there is truth in it. Hugill looked terrible vs us. Ideal player to get them out of the division. Cauley won't cut it as a starter in the Premier League if they get there, but could be sold on, or used again, should they drop again, which is fairly likely. His stock is lower at the moment, which will mean they can get him at an affordable price, but one that should give us some money to reinvest. For me only Morris is a Championship level striker in our squad. Iseka has not convinced me as yet & Oulare makes Mido look like a world beater, as far as signings are concerned.

think he is holding out till they say he can have the tightest pants ,him and Alex Mowatt will have to decide who gets them
