As I said, give him time, but the interview did not fill me with any confidence that he has come in with a mandate to keep us up. Rather seems like he's here to toe the party line on signings / departures and purely be a coach. I'm not sure that is going to get us out of this mess, given the appalling balls up we made of the summer window.

In terms of "getting going", that's debatable too.

To be honest I'm not a happy clapper at the moment. A lot of the time I am, but I'm feeling more dissociated from the club than at any time I can remember. Maybe covid & other things in my life are more important at the minute. Certainly BFC & match days are not giving me the buzz they usually do.

"there are people who can talk more about the transfer window"

Are there...are there really...is it the same people that signed of Toddlers FC in the centre of midfield?

Apart from anything else there is one major reason why I absolutely will not be renewing unless something changes and that is that the club have fraudulently miss sold my season ticket by using false advertising and they dont seem to give a toss about it at all despite the issue being raised multiple times. They seem to think they are above the law and it stinks.

The owners have totally ignored the fans, they (the fans) are an irrelevance, only when they peer out from their lonely vantage point in the West Stand and see an empty stadium, will they maybe consider something hasn't gone quite to plan.
But are enough of us strong enough to not care enough.

Oh for them days when the manager decided what players he wanted and went scouting them first to see if they were going to be good enough.

I'm happy with Poya. Freiser was as much use as a cardboard cut out next to an open fire. He can't say that. He's been polite and wished Freiser well. Asked whether we'll bring anyone in.

How are we replacing Schmidt, Miller and Aitchison or t'other umpteen players who also weren't getting a game?

Asbaghi has politely said he couldn't give two FC UK's. I just wish he didn't have to answer these inane questions about players who aren't even playing.

Strange how the media team asked no questions about Woodrow.

Thanks for that, Poya. Good interview. Determined, focussed, serious, dour, committed, intelligent. Impressive.

Maybe later when we have turned the corner he will relax a bit and show a bit more warmth and charisma. Not a criicism, this post. He will be good for us.

Hi mate, no agenda here at all, just wondering what you mean by false advertising? Don’t give me a condescending reply like I should know or something, just give me your opinion.

Why have a presser before a postponed game?

It was meant to be the pre-Boxing Day presser. And whilst that game's been cancelled, we still felt it was only right to have one regardless. An opportunity for fans to hear from the gaffer and a player, and for the journos to fill their paper/air-time.

It's basically the Blackburn presser to be fair. Just very early.

For what it's worth, I love Poya. He's been a breath of fresh air. He'll get it right here. Fast enough to save this season? Who knows. But he's a good egg.

The reds reserved plus season passes were advertised as coming with certain benefits to justify the extra money. One of these benefits were £50 worth of vouchers. The club have completely failed to delivery these vouchers despite being reminded several times over a period of months. They falsely advertised the passes as coming with a booklet of vouchers that they ultimately didn't come with.

Much like how last season they advertised them as coming with benefits that didn't materialise (and others that only appeared many months into the season when fans questioned them) and how the season prior to that the advertised benefits didn't materialise then either.

I don’t see them as begging letters , I see them as an invitation to renew my hobby, passion ,love, lifelong affiliation to my club which I’ve supported since a small boy almost cradle to the grave so to speak .

The owners do not share or care about our affinity to the club, is the point.

In fact - though this is obviously not unique to our owners - they seem (at best) to tolerate the fact that we have an emotional investment in the club, and pay lip service to it, as required. This is particularly the case when our loyalty to the club challenges their plans, or obviously highlights their shortcomings. At worst, they will actively exploit the fact that we are a captive audience to generate income.

The affiliation we have is a currency to them, essentially.

Hopefully, the Crouch reforms will lead to better governance in football, generally and (perhaps one day) majority supporter ownership.

The owners comes and goes the fans are forever .
They have made some terrible mistakes and decisions especially the west stand but they haven’t put STs through the roof as at our near neighbours Wendy . in fact I probably wouldn’t be able to afford what Chansiri had done with them .
They have made some very bad mistakes especially the west stand but to say they are bleeding the club dry is imo not the case .
I’m more saddened that they haven’t invested into the clubs infrastructure etc and I wouldn’t be sad to see them go providing we have a viable alternative but I fail to see the asset stripping as some are posting .

Do you know it was Hecky who asked for a recruitment team.?At the time he said he needed help on the recruitment side as he didn't have enough time to coach and scout on players.
