The official adjudicator has declared @RC_tyke the winner of the Stoke City prediction thread. You were one goal off the correct score, but predicted the 1st goalscorer, so let me know your chosen charity and I'll make a donation Back to actual football (hopefully) and high flying Blackburn Rovers. Their board have been heavily criticised for sticking with Tony Mowbray over the last couple of seasons, but they seem justified in their decision with the former Premier League winners currently 3rd in the table. After losing 7-0 at home to Fulham, Blackburn have gone on a 7 game unbeaten run, winning 6 games, including the last 5 without conceding a goal. That Fulham defeat is Blackburn's only defeat at home in their last 10 games at Ewood Park. We've not found Ewood Park particularly pleasant this century, losing on 5 of our 7 visits. Our last win there was in 2017, with Marc Roberts and Marley Watkins both scoring early to secure a 0-2 win. I'll be honest, I'm not confident for this one. Poya has certainly made us slightly harder to beat, but we are just limping to the January transfer window, where we are in dire need of that midfield spark and instinctual striker. Blackburn have built up a head of steam, and we couldn't face them at a worse time. I'm going with my heart over head and predicting a Christmas miracle. 0-1 with Styles on the score sheet. You reds!
A very comfortable home win. 3-0 at half time and we show up second half. Put us out of our misery now because it’s painful.
They'll **** us unfortunately, 3-0 I reckon, unless we somehow manage to initiate Mowbray's patented post-Christmas collapse. Then we've got the other form team, Forest, away. We've run out of "winnable" games for now...
Great stuff. Just messaged you with a link. Looking ahead to Blackburn, I’ll go with 1-1. Helik from a corner.
I'm just going to give one of my Blackburn away stories.... It was early September 1990. We were playing Blackburn away on the Saturday of 15th September 1990. I'd just got a new job in Birmingham, and I started on the Monday. We'd just signed Andy Rammell from Man U. I decided to "borrow" my Dad's car and take me and my mate, then stay at Blackpool for the weekend. When I say "borrow"... well I mean my Dad didn't actually know..... Rambo, comes on a sub and scores the winner in a 2-1 victory. Get's back on Sunday afternoon..... "Where the bloody hell have you been?" says Dad.... So, in memory of my Dad, I'll go for a 2-1 victory on Wednesday night
Poya will go and set us up for a draw wont get men forward or create chances or even a shot on goal.... lose 2 nil. Still debating weather to go as i know the tactics will be more not to lose than go and have a go to win.
