Its got to be Monty Python for me followed by The Fast Show & then Harry Enfield , unfortunately these programmes would be frowned upon today but I loved them at the time & still love them now .
Strictly speaking, Acorn Antiques was a sketch within 'Victoria Wood - As Seen on TV' - which was full of priceless sketches. I always loved the mock documentary style ones.
Very first time I ever saw the fast show was live at the Apollo in London. We’d bought tickets for shooting stars and didn’t even realise it was on a double bill. Enjoyed it as much, if not more, than the shooting stars show.
I used to like Not Only But Also (Peter Cook & Dudley Moore) back in the day.Not sure how funny it would be now though.
Forgot about the Sketch Show, really good! Jim Tavare actually had his own sketch show in the early days of channel 5 (I think?). Very hit and miss but the odd hilarious that made it worth watching.
Karen Taylor did on BBC3 as well, but it wasn't as good as this. Jim Tavare had an accident a few years ago, hope he's OK now.
