    It makes even less sense when you consider that we've changed manager and Poya hasn't even had chance to make his mind up about him. At worst we should be recalling him on 1 January with an understanding they can have him back on loan at the end of the month if Poya decides he doesn't need him here.

    But we need to try and get someone or sometwo decent in. Kane coming back would not be the answer.

    I think you’re mistaking us with a club where the manager gets to have any input into the playing squad at his disposal, or his opinions listened to as to where the team needs strengthening. I mean at some clubs the manager even gets to pick the formation and style of play - I know……crazy isn’t it.

    I accept he may not be the messiah, but our owners clearly don’t like opening their wallets, so why not just bring Kane back given that he is a player, performing well who we have already paid for and plays in a position that most desperately needs strengthening.

    I don't think anyone is suggesting that Kane is prime Pirlo.

    It's just the message it gives when we're cut adrift and heading in the wrong direction.
