Not sure if we can say this with any confidence. I think the commercial side of the business has improved and was on a positive trend pre-Covid, but obviously impacted the last 18 months.

I know that our scope of potential sponsors has widened massively vs. previous years. I believe they do have the contacts and I’d even say they do have the business acumen - isn’t that why they’re annoying clubs all over Europe with their ‘empire’?

Please dont be offended by my respons its only my opinion and you are a good poster that i dont want to upset, i just dont agree.

Ive underlined the bits i dont agree with, with honest respect they are lazy words playing alongto a group on here, if you dissect and think about each part there is a response, YT tried in parts to respond and then stopped getting involved as it is like talking to brick walls.

Its the easy path to blame the owners alone, they do take a big portion of the blame
But Dane Murphy, Covid, the council, Val, Schopp, the players who stopped trying under MS, the Crynes all have had a part in this and key injuries. To be successful you need everyone pulling in the same direction, also the support this season from the stands and on social media has been embarrassing. Everyone fighting against each other it only ends one way.

I'm not sure they do. 1st chance they had to bring a global sponsor in was when CK Beckett ended their 10 year association and who do we end up with. The Investment Room from Roverum

I think admin could be an option when we're relegated. Min £6m loss of income, if we fail to sell players or we sell at a significantly reduced value then it leaves us right in the ****. We're ticking over, that's all at present. These owners just seem to have a really random approach to transfers and I don't think they will make anything like the profit they thought when they try to sell the club. As you said, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't, I think they'll cut and run and see this investment as a mistake.

No they are buying way below actual value distressed assets off desperate people who have no choice but to sell.
On everything we know there modius operandi is using the clubs funds to pay the payments or buy down there debt with the clubs thus making a profit or bigger profit more likely or even smaller loss
using the transfer fees and loyal customers money.
    when they sell

i do not believe personally they have the slightest interest in football
    Do you ?
i have looked on the forums of those clubs abroad and struggle to find a post saying anything nice about them.
and i don't think they are annoying anybody with there clubs rock bottom or near to it in there prospective leagues.

what is your opinion do you think the club is in grave danger or not ?
The people on here who and have done football clubs accounts for a living believe the club is in grave danger or are convinced the club is going into admin.

if they are not going to put in there own money (if they even have any) and are going to take a slice of profits to pay off there club debts
we are starting in a hole / in the red every season before we even start and it will be harder and harder to maintain the current status of the club
which is top of league one /championship struggles
which we all tend to forget and take for granted is to be admired for a town our size.

i do not see any sign of improvement in outside investment
it has now been 4 plus years
i believe just about everybody was taken aback even the most hardcore happy clapper when the new shirt sponsor was unveiled as ........ the old club sponsor.
people were expecting much much more especially with all the bravado of the press conference

Well they're definitely lacking something which is necessary to run a club successfully...

Are the people they are annoying the supporters of the clubs they acquire?

Wouldn’t disagree with that. In terms of who they’re annoying they’ve pretty much got a full house.

It’s other clubs complaining about player trading between who they own though. As well as most supporters.

I was only saying we can’t say with confidence that they’re useless commercially as we don’t know. Running a football club? They definitely appear to be inept right now, but commercially I’m not sure we’re in a worse place than previously.

We are in a worse place commercially in one big respect and that is that we are essentially a company who sells one main product. Tickets to football matches. And since they've come in they've managed to absolutely balls that up to such an extent that the last 3 seasons of season ticket sales have been mis-sold. The fact they've managed to do this three years in a row suggests a complete ineptitude towards commercial and retail activities

I’m intrigued by the idea of potential sponsors. Are we talking Etihad or Ryanair?

    You say w
You say we should sell Woodrow Collins Helik Styles this transfer window and rebuild
what effect is that going to have on supporters ?
    football supporters live on dreams
is your post the actual reality of the situation.
    probably
i think nearly everyone realizes we are in huge trouble financially
but it will crush sadden alot of people.

And yet some STILL think they'll come good. Anybody still supporting the shower currently running Barnsley FC is either totally deluded and have lost sight of reality or is as mad as a box of frogs.

More likely to be Blue line taxis or the Oakwell Sandwich shop.
