When does the ponty and East stand reopen?

There hasn’t been many in those two stands in recent games.

Happy for those who were treated badly that they can go back to where they want to be.

Praise the Lord! I've hardly slept a wink at Oakwell since those rowdy West Stand refugees moved in. I'll be glad to see the back of them. It's like sitting with a flock of screeching seagulls.

Or better off, I'd imagine many more would take the option of a refund if it was offered at this moment in time.

I may have missed it but has there been a full explanation of what the problem was? What were the safety concerns and crowd management issues cited alongside structural issues? Why were supporters relocated when the closure turned out to be for less than three months? Was it all a 'testing the water' exercise?

Well they had to relocate them, could hardly say you can't come for 3 months. (Thought may have been kinder)

But they weren't offered a seat on a match by match basis, their season ticket was changed to a different stand.

It was so they could use the stewards on the away end to get more punters in nothing more or less I think.

To clarify, the language used at the time appeared to be couched in terms of a permanent relocation, rather than a temporary displacement. Were the 'remedial works' - such as they were - so badly estimated in terms of time to complete?

Looked to me at the time like it would be a permanent closure. Now they seem to have back peddled with the backlash they got and the amount of supporters they seem to be pissing off.

Fair point both, so either they didn't know how long it would take or they were hoping they could make in permanent to seasons end.
Lots of uncertainty around next season.
If we go down and season ticket sales drop off massively it would actually make more sense from a purely business standpoint, to only sell season tickets in the East and Ponty then open West if needed.
