For the first time I have just seen the sky highlights from Wednesday.

Palmer should have been credited with an assist for their first.

He will make a decent player, be at at L1 or Championship level, but he needs dropping & maybe going out on loan. Benson & Gomes too give the ball away too cheaply. They seem to all lack composure & concentration. Of the 3 I prefer Gomes of what I've seen of him, but obviously he's not our player.
Halme is made of glass sadly, as he is OK as a holding midfielder & offers a bit more in terms of height at set pieces. If we don't get some experience in ASAP in the middle of the park we'll struggle to make 30 points this season. Could be worse than that, if we lose Helik & Woodrow & don't spend the funds wisely, unlike last summer's **** show.

Palmers destined for a career in the lower leagues' he hasn't got the awareness and fitness levels to cut it in the championship' he's a liability...

I think it's a bit early to say. A lot of great midfielders are hardly olympians. I agree at the moment that is his level. Same with Benson & Gomes TBH.

I think theres a player in gomes but unfortunately he'll be away soon' i just can't fathom out why hondermarck isn't in the squad i think he's looked as good as anything we have at the moment from the limited game time he's had...

His passing is poor, his fitness is poor, his awareness is poor, his shooting is poor and he’s lightweight in the tackle.
Apart from that he looks to be a decent midfielder….

Pretty shambolic wasn't it. What we badly need is a midfield grafter and a playmaker.

It was poor from Palmer no doubt. But equally poor frim the defender (Helik?) putting him under that pressure in the first place.

Only seen the highlights but some smabolic stuff. Their first chance comes from Styles and Odour pressing the same player, then both losing him and allowing him to get a clear run into the box.

But in our 3rd championship season we should be doing it less!

Not even that bothered about a playmaker. The sooner the coaches and players accept that other teams have more quality and we have to negate it with graft, the better.
