Wednesday fan almost in tears because they are losing touch with the top teams. The sense of entitlement just never ceases to amaze.
At least they’ll have their cup final back next year. Before anyone starts, that was deliberately ironic.
There's always the whiff of (lesser) entitlement on here too. So if Wednesday are struggling in League 1, it's perfectly understandable. And one swallow doesn't make a summer. There are plenty of Sheff W fans who I know who last season were in awe of what we did - despite playing football like they normally do.
As a rule of thumb, throughput the different generations, many a Wednesday fan still think they are premier league quality and deserve to be in that league
It’s great to see the Fowls struggling to make an impact in L1 but I look at their side compared to ours and it’s quite sobering. Hammers home how tough it’s likely to be for us.
It's certainly a different 3rd tier from the Stendel season. I'm not sure we'd be anywhere near as dominant. I mean as it is, our central midfield would more than struggle. I think Benson's dogshìt ability to read the game and Gomes' frequent attempts to pirouette out of defence would be as effective as they are in Championship.
They have Bannan and Wing in the middle. We’ve got Palmer and Benson. Enough said if we were to start next season that way….
Imagine bannan will be gone arent they trying to get him off the wage bill? Plus palmers contracts up at end of season and he isnt playing like he wants a new one. All that experience and they are adrift of the league one play offs
Ah but can their players retrieve the ball from their own net with as much endeavour and tenacity as we do!? Thats definitely another column on the spreadsheet.
You really don't get it...the problem for poor old Wednesday is that for every opposition team the visit to or from Wednesday is their cup final....it's so unfair.
We had Potts, Pinnock, Moore and Mowatt last time we were in league 1. All 4 of those would walk into our team. I'm backing us for a top 6 finish though. If Rotherham can do it, we can.
