Was thinking isn’t it nice to have such a proactive CEO

    It is not just a breach of customer service.... see below (caveat small print as I have not seen the original offer nor any time frame i.e. e.g. by end of current season )

    The Misrepresentation Act (1967) exists to protect consumers from false or fraudulent claims that induce you entering into a contract-----
    • A representation was in fact made;
    • That particular representation was false;
    • The defendant had knowledge that the representation was false;
    • The statement was made with the intention that the other party rely on it and enter into a contract or agreement;
    I may be no lawyer (there are some on here far more qualified to confirm/reject the above) but it implies they have broken the law, or will have done, if they fail to honour the incentive included in the offer of sale. within the timeframe of the season ticket validity.

    I have moaned about it plenty on various threads but realised I actually haven’t chased up myself, was going to call in at some point but I have just emailed the Box office ! They are usually good at responding but I know some have said they have been blanked.
    Given it is unlikely I will be renewing next season and my dwindling desire to see the season out thought I needed to actually ask.
    I wonder if anyone has a copy of the original RR+ advert as we really have been duped.

    Says the vouchers were Barney FC related so the waffle about partnering with other local business seems unnecessary.

    I think that covers it perfectly. The fact that nobody at the club can even provide concrete assurance on them speaks volumes. They should have been made available prior to or on the opening day of the season. I'm not a betting man but perhaps a flutter on them being sent out on the last day of the season, just to really take the ****, wouldn't be a long shot. Maybe as an apology and gesture of goodwill the club could issue them to every season ticket holder. Don't we have about 13,000? 13,000 ×£50 = £650,000. I'm sure the club could find less than £750k knocking around in the coffers..

    Just as a thought, what makes you think it needs to be visible?

    It doesn't. Let me have another go at communicating it better. :)

    Despite multiple requests the CEO has done little to address fans concerns about the validity of the closure, save for 2/3 vague, non-specific statements. This has fed the view that the serious safety concerns cited as the reason for the closure may not have been serious at all and not warranted closure. Or may have been fictitious - you'll be aware that there's been a suggestion that it was instead about redeploying stewards to the North Stand to enable large away followings and therefore maximise revenue. If however repairs had been visible e.g. scaffolding had been up or walls had been rebuilt or numerous seats removed to enable the floor to be replaced etc, then we'd likely have seen something when attending previous games and I suspect the concerns would have been fewer.
    It could be of course that work undertaken is underneath the stand and therefore not visible but given the number of people on here who visit the ground regularly and notice comings and goings, I suspect someone would have speculated that work was being undertaken. It did for example a couple of years ago when work on the gable ends (I think) was done during the close season.

    How many questions have you directly asked the CEO about the state of our football club?

    How many press releases have you put together to condemn some of the decisions/actions in the last four years?

    Have you ever taken a call from Radio Sheffield to challenge the club on the closure of the West Stand and put forward the idea that the decision was made purely for financial gains and showing a level of disrespect to generations of supporters?

    As a disclaimer, there’s nothing about the above that gets me brownie points or makes me better than anyone else. But I’m going to defend myself when I’m falsely tagged/accused of being some defender of the board or being on the club’s payroll.

    My educated guess is that one of the main issues/changes is likely to be “invisible” from the outside looking in and another major one is as good as subliminal from a distance. I wouldn’t be expecting scaffolds and major structural works as I’ve alluded to on here before…

    Gable ends were easily noticeable from outside the stadium when they were being done…

    Its tough going, I keep replying but he doesnt read or digest my posts he just keeps bleating the same old stuff.

    I dont like or supoort the board and dont think if i was on the payroll they would pay much so im ok with the job ive got, but i have decided to make a stand against the negativity and putting down of our club as a whole.
    Im not getting very far but still battling.

    Thanks. Sounds like you are more knowledgeable than me about these things. What would you guess the issues / changes were?

    You are not the only one. I searched a week ago and tried every possible mix of words but it never came up. I was beginning to think it had purposely been removed.
