I work on turnstiles. If you have the pass/text/letter in your hand with your ticket when you get to the turnstile, it doesn't increase time at all. We don't have to scan your covid pass, we just need to see it. The extra time the other week was people getting to the turnstile scoffing a burger, and only then fumbling around trying to find their tickets, trying to use the car park ticket, looking again for the match ticket, then separately trying to find the covid pass in another pocket. Just engage brain and have it all ready
Seems a bit strange if the availability is less than 10k with only East Stand and part of South open. Not sure to be honest, would understand if entire ground was up for grabs and they couldn't guarantee 10k would turn up.
So we have to show proof to gain entry yet the club only opening east stand. Surely be more sensible to open 2 stands so be more space for fans to social distance
As stated above - no requirement to show COVID pass when crowd less than 10,000 for an outdoor seated event
Thanks. Good job I don't work in event management! Does seem odd that Covid certs are being used. The only reason I can think of is if not using them for some games, but then using them for others could cause confusion down the line.
Yeah I would imagine so. I wonder if the plan was to open up other parts of the ground in the (unlikely) event of high demand for the Barrow match too?
Assuming it’s more an operational decision, i.e. more hassle than what it’s worth, changing the rules just for one game. If people have a pass for league games, why is it such a problem showing it for this?
