Time for a music thread. I don't think we've done this? Maybe we have? I'm sure the Eels, the Smiths & Leonard Cohen should get an outing somewhere, but I'll go for the sardonic genius of this:
Love the fact that this Decemberists track has a melody that totally contradicts the words. Fabulous band, especially live.

Used to hang out with Mr Puttnam a bit after Cud wound up. We used to run some pub quizzes. Saw them loads back in the day. Mike Dunphy used to work with my best mate sorting out tours & live sound. Hilarious & unique band. Not seen any of their reunion gigs though.
Good song that, has a bit of a feel of some of the great country / American folk writers. I don't recognise the writers. His barnet needs sorting though. Like it.
I don't need to ever hear this song again. I was so filled with optimism when Blair won a landslide. I was on a tour bus from London to Leeds as the results came in. That ended up great, privatising schools & boming the **** out of Iraq with GW. Brian Cox is a better scientist & presenter. You must have some Blink?
