Do people test at the stadium where it can spread in a big group rather than at home before they leave for the ground?
The game will probably be off - which makes it all the more strange those who were bairning when Forest called it off against us the other day.
We have 24 registered players in the first team. So take 10 out, at present, we have enough at 14. I think in this competition you can play academy players too. Didn't Derby play a full team of academy kids last season and lose to a non-league side? Rings a bell. So maybe we could fill the bench with youths. Naturally, we might get more cases in the next couple of days. I know I've finally got it, and other staff too. So I'm out regardless. I was looking forward to playing as well, and moving the average age up! Forest have 39 registered players now, after signing Davis and Cook. They're seriously doing things wrong if they're unable to select 14 out of that lot.
Partridge shrug. Like I said, it doesn't really matter. Covid is covid. And if there's injuries on top of that then, it is what it is.
To be fair, he won't be the first coach guilty of not giving any real info on when players will be back. At least he's not given it the old "back in 2 weeks". Looking at the write up on the website, he has said that Helik would be back before Woodrow, but neither are likely to play the next two league games. As for transfers, he's quoted as saying that he's told the club what he wants and left it there.
See if we can sneak a few extra on the pitch as well to help our cause. Wouldn't surprise me if a few refs missed it, such is the standard of officiating.
Barrow 6–1 to win on skybet. Looks like they’ve only got 2 or 3 out injured so worth a fiver if we’re down to bare bones. I hope we play it, give others a chance. Let’s face it, they can’t do any worse.
I'm not sure, this season I've often thought we might be better off just not turning up and taking the 0-3 forfeit.
We've done well to avoid so many cases in one go for so long. That said it's hardly a surprise a more spreadable variant has got us. Especially how two million tests have taken place on consecutive days which has to be a record. Despite that though cases today are down 10k on what they were on far less tests last Thursday so everyone should be in a far better places in a few weeks if cases sink fast as expected.
