Bit cold though. We are however utterly hopeless, rudderless and clueless. Special mentions for Kitching and Palmer - to stand out as worse than the rest is quite an achievement. One of the most bizarre and yes entertaining matches in our history, I would have thought.
I once posted that Palmer knew what to do with the ball. I perhaps should clarify that I was referring to Arnold when he was in his pomp. And not Romal, who knows not what to do with the ball.
Same here. If ye was in same pub as me on his first day we should get the calender out and question what they was serving
I thought Benson looked decent first couple of games he played, Palmer started the season ok. All our players have got worse and worse as the season has gone on.
How far back do we have to go since the last time a team scored four goals against us at the Ponty end?
The last time a team put four past us at home in one half was Southampton 8 years ago in the cup but that was the away end. The last time anyone put 4 past us in front of the ponty end was Ipswich in 2011 when they scored 5 in one half to come from 2 nil down at half time to win 5-2
I normally sit in the Ponty but was in the Upper Tier of the Tiler Stand today. I hope never to sit there again. From my position you could see all the developments in play. The attacking intent, the positional play, the tracking back. I’m not sure whether it should be described as Woeful or shameful. To put it in perspective we’re 2-0 up at home to supposedly one of the worst sides in the entire football league, who were down to 10 men and had no recognised striker on the field. We go through after extra time, and after conceding 4 goals, primarily through a cameo performance from the only performing striker at the Club. However you look at that game, to my mind, it was an embarrassing shameful performance, and simply not good enough. However, My despair at this season is nothing compared to the despair I feel for the future of this club under this incompetent ownership. One final point. If it wasn’t for the fact we operate in a bent system, Barrow would have got the reply their performance and their fans deserved.
I think you are right in the sense that the shape of the team is more evident from side on. I think you are right in the sense that it was a horror show. I recently posted that the midfielders and forward s were not good enough. After today I need to add the defence too. What a shambles. Poya has done nothing to improve things on the pitch so far, and speaks as though he hasn't the balls to say what needs to change. I've given up on this season, but we need to have something to cling on to for next season. There are four or five players (yet to be sold) fit for next season and that's it. We're in deep trouble.
Palmer is just a terrible player. Surely he’s L2 bound at best. Kitching too had a mare today, shaky all game.
