I was impressed and disappointed in equal measure. He was through on 3 or 4 occasions and failed to score each time. Yet he attacked and drove forward at every opportunity, was full of running and enthusiasm. I think he should be given a run in the team
Played out of position and did well on his debut, apart from finishing. I worry he's a tad light, but other good players have overcome this disadvantage, On this showing, I'm not sure why he has only been warming the bench for the previous 25 games. He'll be back in Germany this time next week for showing some ambition. Sibbick will be in Scotland this time next week, for reasons no one can comprehend.
I liked him. Reminded me of JCR. Kept up with the pace well considering he played the whole two hours on debut so won't be match sharp. Played some lovely passes, was involved in a goal and if he keeps finding space he will find goals. Hope he starts against Stoke.
Thinks he's better than he is, tries to do it all on his own with blinkers on and wants all the time in the world. Those were my initial reactions...but I wasn't aware that he was playing miles out of position at the time.
to say it was his first start i think he did ok he lasted the extra time well certainly should be getting some game time .
To say that’s his first match for us and he played in pretty much the opposite position to what we were told he is, I thought he looked decent. Finishing was disappointing and should’ve scored at least one but his dribbling was good and he looked lively in the final third.
I know he missed chances, but at least he was there to miss them, and he also made a few of his own chances by driving forwards. Two things the team has been lacking all season for me.
Based on his stature he will surely be known as Ry-vita. He definitely doesn’t need to go on a post Christmas diet.
To say hes not played a competitive game for us since joining i think he did ok. As good as most of the useless ***** have been all season at least anyway.
I still don't understand why he hasn't been featuring for the U23's, unless its to try and keep the squads separate (covid). If thats the case then I think it is detrimental to his development as he doesn't look sharp and/or confident. That reason also fails today when several U23's were on the bench so the squads aren't all that separate.
I agree. He was rather frustrating, but he clearly has talent, is quite quick, has good dribbling ability and was very keen to be involved. On that showing it is hard to understand why he has not featured at all before for us.
On the dodgy stream I half watched he looked ok. Can’t see him being able to play full back as he just doesn’t have the physique but looks to have done talent further forward.
Thank you. Typical, though. I've been hoping to see him in action all season and now I've missed him.
I think we were all behind him in the East Stand and he certainly tried to drive forward. Got knocked off the ball a bit but seemed to have some pace and tenacity. Be interesting to judge him properly against another championship side though. Bizarre that he's a loan signing and this is his first game!
I question why the head coach would ask a young left back who hasn't played this season for the first team to play on the right wing. But then again I'd question why arsebaggage was the head coach in the first place.
