The irony is that most of the squad qualify for and should be in the u23s. We just thought it would be a good idea to make them the first team squad

Who are these other options in defence? Sibbick might be marginally better, but he wasn’t exactly looking solid when he played this season either. His reputation is improving for not being in the team at the moment. Helik and Halme not available either.

There's no law that says we must play 3 centre backs for a start

I agree on Sibbick, and he has some pace which a lot of centre backs don’t have. Not really sure what he’s done to make us basically ship him out. He’d be in my starting 11 next season in league 1 though if he stayed.

Moon is shocking. He will probably end up in the conference.

Is this thread some kind of joke?

All these players you're slagging off, they ARE the f'ing under 23's!

Sibbicks barely had a chance rhus season but played well under Val and has some pace on him. Ridiculous that he's not getting more game time imo, particularly when Anderson was injured.

There not the U23s. There age might be but there our first team squad and not good enough.

Give the lads playing in the U23s a chance instead. They cant do any worse than some.

I agree that he should be playing, but I don’t think there’d be a dramatic improvement either. His form this season, like most of the others, have been nowhere near last seasons standards.

I loved the tv show, but I've never even heard of this film that you're talking about.

Moon was exposed at L2 level today though.

Was he? I didn't think he really did anything wrong today. And we were winning 2-1 when he went off. Kitching on the other hand........

He carelessly gave the ball away and subsequently the free kick that led to their first goal. The game was comfortable up to then but it gave them the impetus.

Moon is not good enough to wear a Barnsley shirt, whatever league we're in.

I agree that right now he's not ready. My view is that he'll develop further and that eventually he'll be a good player. I understand and respect if you have a different opinion.

They did a straight to TV film a couple years ago with all the old characters. Worth tracking down, it'll be on some of streaming site or downloadable somewhere.

Andersen is the only available centre back that I would have any confidence at being to defend at this level.

Personally, I would pick Sibbick over both moon and Kitching, but I don’t think he’d be much of an improvement, and I don’t know what’s gone on behind the scenes to see him taken out of the team.
