Asking for them at yesterday's game despite there being nowhere near ten thousand. My sister had to help a chap with his as it had expired. They let his granddaughter in and then refused him entry and wouldn't let her out again. Poor lass was stood without him on the verge of tears till he got sorted.
To be fair the Club did make it clear they were needed. And in front of me a Dad was let in regardless cos his kids had already gone through and he couldn't get his covid pass on his phone.
Weren’t there any staff outside reminding people to have them ready before going through? If not it’s stupid as you can’t rely on some people to be prepared to do something necessary. Look how often you see people holding supermarket or bus queues up because someone hasn’t got their money/loyalty card/bus pass ready. It’s like it’s a HUGE surprise to them that they have to pay!
It was clearly advertised that a pass would be needed. It's not the clubs fault if someone didn't have one to get in. Hopefully the stupid plan B rules will be gone at the end of the month.
I agree, but... it is the clubs responsibility to administer its own rules effectively and fairly. I was wondering, have any of the turnstile operators had training on entrance process since the addition of the Covid pass. Effectiveness + duty of care etc. I went to the theatre this weekend and they clearly had a process where they pre-checked before the entrance and were looking for specific information. If they didn't get it they had an area to step aside and sort before returning people to the queue where then the normal entrance ticket process / scan worked.
The original poster said someone wasn't allowed in until he sorted his expired pass so rules were followed effectively instead of just letting him in anyway which wouldn't have been right. It's not down to the club to babysit people about rules.
There was also posts about kids being let in and not let out also about people let in without being checked. Who is responsible there?
No idea. The young boy on the turnstile didn't seem too bothered about seeing a covid pass when I went in.
Very unlikely we will get 10k home supporters this season. Some away teams will bring a few thousand though. My season ticket means nothing. Not the club I grew up with. Sorry to say this as my Dad & Norman Rimmington were best mates. I've loved the club for 45 years, but these clowns in charge now can do one. Not watching this shower of ****. Conway is a complete disgrace. Sad but true.
Any club with a declared capacity of 10,000 or over must ask for the relevant covid passes, irrespective of the actual attendance.
The only thing I can think of is it's in readiness for forcing people to need 3 or 4 or 5 jabs in order to be considered vaccinated.
