6 hours of debate and looking for anything they possibly can to rule out a goal. We think it's offside. 2 minutes later oh no it isn't we can't rule it out for that. Could there be an handball? 5 minutes later oh no there isn't. We can't rule it out for that. We could always try for a foul earlier? Aye that'll do. What a joke And if it isn't available for every team in the third round it shouldn't be used just for the big boys
I can’t actually believe they ruled it out for that part of it, I did think he was offside tbh - but that block is a bit soft if you compare it to all the pulling and blocking that goes off at corners, if they applied what they’ve just applied at corners it would be a free kick or penalty 99.9% of times
Agreed. Either VAR for all matches or none until semis and finals. It's obviously not clear if it takes that long to look at it.
Helen var could not make a definitive decision so after 5 minutes passed the buck and asked the ref to view it and make a decision. Unbelievable Jeff.
I wouldn't be up for it if it meant a 5 minute wait after a goal to find out if we had conceded or not. It takes any passion from the game and turns it into a court case where they are looking for technicalities
I hate VAR with a passion but if players weren’t continually getting in the refs face or managers blaming the refs in every press conference when decisions didn’t go their way then maybe it would never have been brought it,
Only Barnsley game I've attended with VAR, away at Burnley. Ref gave them a penalty, VAR overruled and kept us in the game.
