There is now proof that his own personal secretary sent out invites to 100 people for a party in Boris Johnson's private garden ergo he was the host. If the met doesn't investigate and find him guilty then they want disbanding
I'm going to rob a bank and as soon as I get out of the door I'm in the clear because the police don't investigate incidents that have already taken place. Genius
How can they investigate it? Their officers were on duty in Downing street at the time and did nothing about it. It would have to be another force via the Police Complaints Authority. It's never going go happen mate
Ah well that puts paid to any new restrictions as I’m sure everyone will just say fk it. If Johnson can’t follow rules neither will I.
In other corrupt news - no investigation into his illegally getting someone to pay for his flat decorations because its apparently not the job of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to investigate lies regarding MP's interests, which sort of begs the question who the f*ck is it then https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/breaking-boris-johnson-not-probed-25903018
Yes the email is the smoking gun because it says We invite you not I We. the only person the we can be is Bojo himself. I wonder which former advisor with eye trouble and a personal optician in Barnard Castle leaked the email to the press. He's playing the game well is old Demonic he's not releasing all the **** he as on Boris in one go so it would all be lost and quickly forgotten in the noise around Boris, he's dripping stuff out a bit at a time waiting while one piece starts to fade out of the public's mind then just popping another bit out into the public domain so the momentum against Boris grows. It's death by a thousand cuts and it's lovely to watch the blonde Tory gimp getting it in spades.
For the legal eagles on here: Two questions regarding the police involvement: 1) does the subsequent repeal of the 2020 regulations prevent a prosecution from being pursued at this point (the starting point would be a fixed penalty)? and 2) would any proceedings in any event be caught by the usual six-month limitation period on the prosecution of summary-only offences?
Here’s the email for anyone who hasn’t seen it: Absolutely nothing about it being a meeting as they initially said.
I don't see how he can continue as PM, he's lost any credibility he had and the tories are sliding down in the polls. If he doesn't resign (which he won't) they will get rid og him. This latest scandal may have brought if forward. There will be some more letters to the 1922 committee today for sure....
No, historic charges are based on the laws in place at the time of the offence. So historic sex offences will be tried and sentenced as per the law in the 70s or 80s, rather than any update since. Laws cannot be applied or rescinded retrospectively.
The interview after the latest party scandal at least confirmed one thing for me, Johnson is DEFINITELY the worlds worst liar!!
Then he will try to spin it ....claiming he thought it was a pigs head....and wanted to copy Call me Dave...
People in the south just think "the tinker" though. They won't stop voting Conservative because they class Labour as a party of the north.
