He also did something for L'Equipe two days after the supposed positive PCR test. https://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/Artic...k-djokovic-a-melbourne-est-attaquable/1309286
This is going to be interesting - For what its worth I am not convinced he should have been given a visa in the first place but unless there is proof he lied to get the visa, to refuse him entry on arrival seems a bit unreasonable. It appears a Judge, who presumably has a much better understanding of Australian law agrees. Im still a bit puzzled about the alleged covid positive test followed by photo's of him at events on the day and immediately after maksless and in close proximity to others - so either he is lying, or he is a selfish pr!ck with no consideration for others. So now the Australian government is considering kicking him out anyway, unless there is real evidence he falsified his visa application. that seems wrong - Just as wrong as the powers our Home Secretary has to just kick someone out of the country basically because they dont like them being here. The sensible thing to do is just let him in and play - but politicians with an election to win may think there is more votes in kicking him out anyway
We need all the facts to come out on this as it doesn’t look good currently. There is a third option though, that they’re taking PCR tests all the time and results are back every 48 hours. That wouldn’t be inconceivable and the date on the COVID test result is the day of the test not the day you’re informed.
His dad has had a rant and wants the Queen to help his son. Not sure what he expects Lizzie is able to do.
The bloke is a complete CBomb. The incidents of the Summer of 2020 and his lying in mid December are just a drop in the ocean.
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2...kovics-interview-with-australian-border-force Interesting convo and he's admitted he's not vaccinated.
On Questionnaire It said had you visited more than one country in the last fortnight. You said no. Yet you visited spain. Erm. I didn't fill in the questionnaire. The Australian tennis federation did. Oops.
Thats true but in this case the law was applied because he had legal advice Its clear from the Judge that the Australian Immegration service acted wrongly and thats why Djokavic has been allowed in. I suspect had they followed correct processes he may well have been deported and his appeal failed but we will never know The Aussie government, Tennis Federation and Djocavic all come out of this badly Did you see the press conference his family held to gloat over his release and how quickly they shut it down when asked why if he tested positive and knew the result the same day he then went to events and mixed with people without so much as a mask on the next 2 days. I go back to my earlier post Either he has faked his positive test or his is an arrogant selfish pr!ck ( both are possible but at least one must be true) Also if he hadnt conveniently tested positive in December how was he planning to play in Australia?
With an election coming up, PM Scott Morrison is under huge pressure with the way he's handled the pandemic. Will be interested to see how this plays out as Novak's lawyer's apparently want to go straight back to court on appeal.
To be expected after lying on his forms. He's lucky he's famous and rich enough to avoid jail when if Joe Public did it they would be spending time in the slammer.
