It really is strange how each season one team seems to get about 50% of their games covered. As for this fixture, I get to have a sleep in, so I'm not complaining.
Prime time! Obviously not QPR who are the attraction, so I must have been wrong about us all season. We're not ****, after all.
I had a few pints in town the afternoon before the WBA game. Me and a couple of pals decided to stay out and sack the game off! We were having a nice time so why spoil it?!? I wouldn’t be at all shocked if this fixture goes the same way……..
Should be able to get a partial refund on my season ticket when they do stuff like this realise it’s not the clubs fault but 8pm on a sats never been a standard time and doesn’t consider the welfare of any fans either living outside Barnsley or QPR fans especially.
To be honest as much as my dislike for our owners is this is down to Sky & its them who dictates what matches are being covered at what time & on what day & the championship clubs have to comply
This is very very annoying. No trains back to where I live after the game at this time so I don't think I'll make it. None back to London either so no good for the QPR fans. Why 8pm? If it was 7:30 I'd be able to get back. Even 7:45 I could leave slightly before full time and make it. But 8?? That's just too late! No good at all for the fans. I've missed a few for games rescheduled now, getting very annoying when I've paid £330 for a season ticket
tbf, QPR fans could still share a taxi if it was a 3pm Saturday kick off. Not exactly massive away following.
Don't know but I imagine that the club has to be "asked" if they can be televised in any particular game once a season has started. Maybe YT can add some info about this? I'd love to know how much pressure was put on us before we agreed to such a peculiar request/demand from Sky. "Err, good morning Mr Barnsley, it's Sky tv here, we'd like to change your fixture to 8pm so we can cover it, are you ok with this?" "What's in it for us?" "Money" "OK"
