Just to avoid any confusion, I'm merely a member of the group, I had no part in the meeting that took place, I didn't write the post and I'm not an Admin of the group.
Whether or not anything materialises remains to be seen, but fair play for mobilising. I'm opting out of the FB group for now, and the 80% obviously aren't just going to pack up and leave because we've asked them nicely. But I'm sure the group know this. Will see how it pans out. Good luck to em...
I got a ban for calling someone piggy...it didn't seem to matter that everyone has called him that for about 60 years
Also "broad" instead of "braod spectrum." I agree, attention to detail and good grammar is essential in retaining credibility.
How do they know Conway would like nothing more than group squabbling,is that a fact,do they know him, have they met him. Would they have been better liaising with the Supporters Trust and using there 5000 strong members to request a meeting and or to demand answers to there queries. I always thought Alan Bloor and company were elected to question the board on behalf of all supporters. Before we get into unsavoury demos and people with Paul Conway masks on is it time for the Supporters Trust to flex some of their muscle.
That is a point I was going to raise. After sticking to "FACTS", I wish they would for their own credibility.
Mmm, divide and conquer is a well known tactic. I'm sure he wouldn't want a united group opposing his ownership as opposed to lots of little factions.
Elected by who? I certainly didn’t elect him to speak for me. Maybe they want to take a different direction to BFCST? Maybe they see some members of BFCST as a mouthpiece for the owners?
realistically I think it will take the trust to be part of anything in order to persuade the owners to sell.
