Should WRDC beat the Blunts on Saturday and with us having no fixture they could move on to 14 points and above us on goal difference (i know we have 2 games in hand on them) but to.make up a 21 point deduction on.us and and given their squad this highlights just how abject we have been so far this season.

There are quite a few teams already that are more than 21 points in front of us & have been for a while .

This has been the least enjoyable season I’ve ever had following Barnsley.

Nothing has excited me this season at all. The emotion of returning from the behind closed doors situation soon wore off.

I think I'm resigned to relegation now.

There have been recent seasons when it would have been truly gutting to get relegated. The Flicker great escape for instance. After the fight and togetherness that group of players showed from the new year onwards, going down would have been tough. In a similar way, relegation after the Struber turnaround would have been hard to take.

This time round? I'm pretty apathetic and resigned to a 'nothing season'. Sad really but it's a reflection on the state of the club as well as the general dystopian vibes of the world right now.

It doesn't help that the players, staff, management and board are also resigned to a "nothing season". If the comments elsewhere alluding to what Ashbagi has said in his latest interview are correct, then it truely is depressing. :(:(:(

Sorry, what comment is that? I didn't think he'd done a proper media round today given the weekend game seemed destined to be called off?

It's our league position in May that counts. See season 2019/20.

Correct but how many of them had to overcome a huge deficit? There is a big difference between going out and getting 21 from 0 and getting to 0 from -21

Forget their deficit the point of the thread is to highlight how bad we are, If Derby win they will have got 35 points on the pitch , the same as a number of other teams already have & fair play to them but they are a lot better side than us & it is no surprise they have done well , we are the worst side in the league proven by how many points we have got on the pitch , I personally do not understand why people bang on about Derby , its us with 14 points & trying to get above our nearest rivals what is the crux of the matter, lets be honest there is no way we can end up above 3 other teams , we are down , meanwhile I expect Derby to get out of it & if they do then fair play to them .

You miss my point. Derby overcoming a deficit like that on us is not the same as a team being 21points above us. That should have been almost impossible and yet we have made it easy

The situation is a doddle compared to 2019/20. We were 7 points adrift of safety with 9 games left on resumption that season. This time we're 8 points adrift of safety with 22 games left and Reading's two games in hand have now disappeared after gaining them only 1 point.

No I get your point fully , why shouldn"t Derby have got to 35 points at this stage of the season, ? people seem to think they were below us because they are a poor team but that is not the case , there are numerous teams who have achieved 35 points or more , it is our tally what is the problem, if we had picked up the same amount of points as Derby we would be well clear of the drop, I think the point is we have made it easy for the poorer teams in the league to be above us not the better ones.

The difference is that in 19/20 we were merely a poor side. This season we are... we are... This season we are...

Fùck it. There actually isn't a word that adequately describes how bad we are.

If I was a betting man, I'd put money on us getting less points from our remaining 22 games than we did in those 9 games under Struber.
