Q&A SESSION WITH OUR CEO Club News Following his last event in November 2021, Barnsley FC Chief Executive Officer, Khaled El-Ahmad, will once again answer supporter’s questions on Tuesday 18 January. Continue reading on the official site...
Session recorded and shared? Credit where it's due, that's a positive step (so long as it isn't edited first)
I assumed it's a live face time event. Anyway considering Khaled had only been at Oakwell a couple of weeks when he did his first 2/3 supporter meetings he should have more knowledge and answers for the previous questions asked of him.
Wonder if @SuperTyke has been invited Seriously though if its being recorded that is a good step - I cant wait for his answers on the £750K, the real reason the West was closed and what happened with the vouchers
If he doesn't have an answer for the inevitable £750k question, that is negligence on the club's part and unforgivable.
That comes across as quite dismissive tbh. Not sure if that was your intention. The current owners have a very long list of genuine fan concerns that they need to address, and so far the CEO has been less than inspiring. Do you think fans are entitled to voice these concerns?
We did this with Dane during lockdown and the whole interview was shared as a video without a single edit. This one might end up being a bit more contentious due to the situation, but hopefully it's a repeat editing wise.
If he doesn't answer that question... and he's open and honest remember, given his opening speech, I suspect it will be for reasons other than negligence.
He's been in the hotseat long enough now. If he's in any doubt, there are people at the Club who will be able to give him a very detailed list of all the questions likely to be asked.
He'll likely see the majority of the questions in advance. He also already knows my thoughts on the £750k as it was me who drilled in to the detail/angst of it at the last Forum/Q&A.
All I ask, to avoid pi55ing the fanbase off, is that given he pretty much knows which questions will be forthcoming, he has answers ready and doesn't attempt to defer to board or to a later Q&A The time for answers is now.
I'll be going into drafting mode on this at the weekend. I want to cover the issues as comprehensively as possible within the limitations of a single question.... ....possibly in multiple parts.
Given the questions have to be submitted and chosen in advance, I wouldn’t be surprised if certain questions aren’t addressed but there is no excuse for an answer to be get back to you.
