    I remember when we signed Michael Tonge. He came with the profile and at the end of his career. He didn't steady the ship at all. If Portsmouth hadn't had a deduction we'd have been down that year too. I think the time for experience was all the winnable games we pissed away in September/October.

    Sheff Utd had a decent team back around 2003. It would have stayed up with Brown, Tonge and Jagielka all in their prime.

    I'd take him all day over Moon & Kitching to be fair. Definitely won't happen though!

    Won't happen but I think he'd do well. Class player in his prime. Always thought he hada good attitude too.

    Given we're regularly playing Kitching and Moon who aren't ready yet, it would make sense, and it might help with their development.

    But given that Poya has stated any signings would be "young and cheap", it would seem doubtful

    Is this for real? Class in his day, but a Jagielka-marshalled WRDCFC were one of the two teams we beat this season. He was slow and he was slightly wider than me. And almost as old.

    If he was to come to Barnsley I would hope it was as nothing more than defensive coach.

    They have also won 7 games and drawn 11, and are close to going above us after giving us a 21 point head start.

    He's probably be preferable to ruining Jasper Moon's career before it's even started.

    Only 3 teams have conceded less than Darby this season - all of which make up 3 of the top 4 positions. One game doesn't define a player
