Anyone done any of the European F1 circuits in recent years?

Looking at going probably 2023 but unsure on the best way to do it, or where to go

I've seen a number of sites that do packages but wondered if it'd be better to buy the various elements separately?

Barcelona - Curcuit de Catalynya is fantastic. I would highly recommend. We went for the full weekend a few years ago and it was great. Worked out cheaper than Silverstone!

We booked everything separate and stopped in a hostel in the City. The circuit is about half an hour away from Barcelona city centre, there were regular shuttle buses from the city to the track.

He messed spa up this year though remember by picking and choosing which rules he was using to extend the race time just enough to follow the safety car and call it a race

Done quite a few but not for over 10 years now. I used to do holidays and breaks around them for a good few years.

For work reasons, I don’t have many weekends free anymore so it’s only June really where I could even begin to think about doing one again. I don’t knock around with that circle of mates anymore either so I’d suggest it’s unlikely unless I do it in retirement.

Did a test match last summer for the first time, which I enjoyed. Only done one dayers before. I don’t even care much for cricket like I once used to, but it’s a cracking day out at the cricket in the sunshine with your mates and plenty of ale.

Going to the darts in May. Again, I think it’s more about the company and the copious amounts of ale that grabs me these days.

Done Spa twice and Austria once. For Spa, stopped just over the border in Germany and did all the driving myself. A bit cheaper but knackering. Spa is a great track but ridiculously busy on race days.

Austria I did as a package. Much more straightforward. Only issue there is if its hot, there's no shade.

If you can afford a package, I'd say do that. If you want to do the full 3 days, then arrange it all yourself. It's just a lot of running around if youre driving.
