If this time next season we're in the L1 relegation zone and heading straight to L2. We are just so, so poor. The appointment of Poya was a huge mistake but they aren't going to sack him now!
They can't afford to. I think we're in severe financial difficulty right now and the club are trying to cut costs anywhere they can
Relegation and a huge drop in ticket sales on the horizon. Hope we didn't get the new grills on finance.
I dont think we’ll even bring anybody into the playing squad this window. Nobody at all. I think they just want the season over and try their luck in league 1, maybe if they cross their fingers and toes it will be better next season
It isn't a coincidence that the team remains poor despite a managerial change. The players aren't up to it.
I think we have had the deadly combination of head coach's and players who aren't up to it. Not to mention CEO's and owners.
This kind of thing is always asked during seasons like this but I don’t think so. The gap between the leagues is too big for that to happen.
In which case, I cannot understand why we’ve not just asked for 1m each for styles and Helik. They’d soon have been gone. Nothing about this window makes any sense. No significant money brought in to help manage the financial impact of relegation. Nobody brought in to try and give us a chance of staying up. I just don’t get it. In fact, nothing has made sense about the club since May.
Once Collins, Helik, Andersen, Styles and Woodrow are sold, we might bridge that gap down quite easily.
You could well be right but I still think the gap is big. Hopefully we have a better summer and get the right players in. Probably shouldn’t get my hopes up too high.
We had money in the bank the last time we went down. Meant we were able to keep Moore who was proven at that level and replace Bradshaw with Woodrow. If we keep Woodrow and Morris in league 1, they’ll score plenty. Trouble is, chances of us keeping them are slim. I’d suggest even Adeboyejo will outscore our strikers after leaving on a free in the summer.
We didn't attract substantial offers for our players after we'd punched above our weight and finished in the play-offs, so I can't imagine many of our players will be in demand if they're to finish the season as the Championship's record breakingly w&nk side.
